SBC 1000/2000 4.1.x : How the Sonus SBC 1000-2000 Routes IP Traffic to a NIC


The Sonus SBC 1000/2000 Routes IP traffic to a NIC based on the Subnet to which the NIC and the traffic belong. If the destination address is on the same subnet as the NIC, then that NIC will receive the traffic.


The Sonus SBC 1000/2000 receives traffic with a destination address of For the traffic to be routed to the endpoint, two valid conditions must exist.
(warning) There must exist a (1) valid Static Route which contains a gateway on a (2) subnet defined for one of the Sonus SBC 1000/2000's NICs.
